Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and 1st Annual Soybean Disc Golf Tournament took place Saturday, September 11, 2010. Blair Bose set the first course record of 50. On September 6, 2014, Nate Wegryn and Zackeriath Johnson both broke the old record by tying with a 49.
Brian Moore, Director of Martin Parks & Recreation, envisioned an 18 hole disc golf course that would enhance the recreation outlets for the community.
The course was developed to attract a diverse range of players from novice to advanced. It has straight holes, as well as, holes with hills and valleys.
The course was originally financed in 2010 with funds raised from community sponsorships.
