♻RAEKAR ADVANCE Sign-Up For RECYCLING
The City of Martin is launching a new residential recycling service starting July 2025.
Recycling will be collected bi-weekly, and the service is optional for a $16 monthly fee.
At this time, Raekar will offer Single Stream Recycling, meaning all recyclables go into one bin.
To sign up:
- Complete the digital form below to opt-in or call Martin City Hall at 731 587 3126.
- This is a new program, advance sign up is required by March 31. Raekar will need time to organize, establish routes, and order cans.
- After the initial set up period, sign ups for recycling can happen any time through the City of Martin Utility Services.
If you choose to sign up:
- $16 monthly fee will be added to your City of Martin Utility Bill beginning in July 2025. (each can will be a $16 fee)
- You will receive an additional can for recycling this summer.
- Recycling is not required, but those who opt in will pay the additional monthly charge.
- Items should be placed DIRECTLY IN THE CAN, please DO NOT USE TRASH BAGS.
- If you must use a bag, please use the translucent blue RECYCLING bags.
- Cans will be the same size as the current trash cans with a different color lid.

- Food & Liquids: Any food scraps, leftover drinks
- Clothing & Linens: Fabric items like clothes or sheets
- Tanglers: Cords, hoses, chains
- Other Large Items: Tanks, wood, plastic furniture, metal

If you are unsure of the time of your trash pickup, we recommend placing your trash cans out the night before your scheduled pickup day.
Recycling pickup dates will be determined in June 2025 and are sunject to change as routes grow.
UTILITY INFORMATION
To sign up for utility services at your new or current residence, visit Martin City Hall. Martin City Hall is located at 109 University St. Hours: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm
- Bring a valid photo ID, address requested for utility service, and deposit.
- Please make arrangements for any utility services before 4:30pm.
- Service Charge -$15
- Residential Water Deposit- $50
- Residential Gas Deposit- $100
- Commercial Water & Gas Deposits will vary- Please speak with the utility billing department.

All active water accounts will have an automatic active trash service. Trash pickup is included in your monthly utility billing for all City of Martin residents.
