Martin 150 Time Capsule Ceremony

The July 4th special celebrations include the opening of the Centennial Time Capsule at the CE Weldon Building at 10am. The CE Weldon Building is located at 100 Main Street in Downtown Martin. This event will be hosted partially outdoors. Light refreshments will be served and limited edition 150 commemorative items will be distributed at this event. The Martin Loves America spectacular fireworks celebration will also take place on July 4th at the Martin Recreation Complex. Fireworks will begin at 9pm.

2023 Martin Veterans Day Parade

2023 Martin Veterans Day Parade The City of Martin, Tennessee and Rolling Thunder TN-6 welcome you to help honor and salute all of our veterans and active military. The 2023 Martin Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal is Robert Chappell. Mr Chappell is the only remaining WWII veteran in Weakley County. There are only 160,000 WWII veterans left in the country. Chappell celebrated his 100th birthday on October 4th. The parade will be held on Saturday, November 11th at 10AM. The Missing Man ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the City of Martin Public Library Stage. The parade route will begin at the corner of Lovelace and University Street and continue through Downtown Martin. Parade participation is free. Businesses and groups are welcome to participate. All veterans and family members are welcome to ride or walk in the parade. Anyone wising to participate in the parade needs to arrive for lineup at 9am in the UT Martin Business Building Parking Lot. 2023 Martin Christmas Parade The annual Martin Christmas Parade is a small town holiday tradition you don't want to miss. The Martin Christmas parade is hosted by the Martin Kiwanis Club. Each year the parade has a new theme, the 2023 theme is Deck the Halls. The parade begins at the UT Martin Football Stadium and continues down University Street and Lindell Street through Downtown Martin. Join us for the 2023 Christmas parade on Monday, December 4th.
