The City of Martin and Rolling Thunder TN-6 welcome you to help honor and salute all of our veterans and active military. The annual Martin Veterans Day Parade will be held on Friday, November 11th at 6PM. The Missing Man ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the City of Martin Public Library Stage. This years parade route will begin at the corner of Lovelace and University Street and continue through Downtown Martin. Parade participation is free. Parade line up begins at 5PM at the UT Martin Business Building Parking Lot. We request pre registration be completed to enter the parade, however we can work with participants who are unable to register or arrive the day of the parade.

The 10th anniversery of the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Breakfast will be Monday, January 16th. Join the City of Martin, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and the UTM Black Student Association for a morning of good food, music, and fellowship. This event brings together community and university to celebrate and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and raise awareness to live with purpose. Keynote Speaker Logan Hampton, Ed.D. President of Lane College. Hear musical performances and honor three different award recipients including The Alpha Award, The Torch Award, and The Harld Conner Award. Location/Parking: This event is located inside the Martin Event Center which is located inside the City of Martin Public Library. Attendees can enter through the Lindell Street doors of the library and parking is available throughout downtown Martin. Time: Doors Open at 8:30 am ; Program Begins at 9:00am. Calling all music fans- we’re thrilled to partner with Tennessee Vacation to host a Tennessee Songwriters Week Qualifying Round once again in Martin, TN.
