Recycling in Martin

Recycling in Martin

March 4, 2025 – MARTIN, TENN.: The City of Martin is excited to announce the launch of a new residential recycling service starting in July 2025. This initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability by offering residents an optional, convenient, and efficient recycling solution.  The recycling service will be managed by RaeKar, the current City of Martin waste management provider. Recycling will be collected bi-weekly. Specific pickup dates will be determined this summer and may adjust as routes expand. Residents opting into the program will incur a $16 monthly fee, which will be added to their City of Martin utility bill beginning in July. The program utilizes Single Stream Recycling, allowing all recyclables to be placed into a single bin without the need for sorting.

  • Advance Sign-Up Required: Residents interested in participating must enroll by March 31, 2025, to allow RaeKar adequate time to organize routes and procure recycling bins. After the initial setup period, residents can opt into the recycling service at any time through the City of Martin Utility Services.
